Offering perspective on AHA Scientific Sessions 2020 Presentation P1036 copyright American Heart Association 2020 "I think a very important observation and take home message here for consumers is that these investigators looked at people who eat chili pepper verus people who don't eat chili pepper, so we don't know how much chili pepper they were eating. And so that doesn't translate to going out and eating large quantities of chili pepper, and the hottest ones you can find. Remember, the investigators looked at people who had none in their diet verus people who had some. And that could be a small amount, it could be a large amount, so my message to consumers is don't go overboard in translating this research into practice."
