IRVINE, CA, October 19, 2023 — The 2023 Orange County Heart and Stroke Ball was held Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Ritz Carlton, in Dana Point. The Heart and Stroke Ball brought more than 250 hearts together to save lives and strive for equitable health. With close to $1 million dollars raised, funds will support the life-saving work of the American Heart Association to fight heart disease and stroke.
The Annual Heart and Stroke Ball was a culmination of the Heart of Orange County, an American Heart Association initiative that works to equitably improve and save lives from heart disease and stroke. The Heart and Stroke Ball marks a special moment in time to reflect, honor and celebrate the progress made through the determination, dedication, and passion of all who support the Heart of Orange County.
The Heart and Stroke Ball was chaired by Skip Elefante, Genevieve Elefante-Sigmund, and Dane Elefante from Platinum Storage Group. Edwards Lifesciences, Providence and UCI Health were presenting sponsors with Hoag and Johnson & Johnson MedTech as premier sponsors. Attendees enjoyed a fabulous evening of dining, entertainment by Voices of Rock Radio featuring John Elefante (Former Lead Singer of Kansas), Wendy Moten (Favorite on "The Voice") and Kevin Chalfant (Lead Singer with The Storm & Journey), and dancing to JT and Friends.
In addition, there were moving passion speakers and an exciting auction. Attendees also had an opportunity to hear closing remarks from incoming 2024 Heart and Stroke Ball Chair, Chad Lefteris, Chief Executive Officer, UCI Health.
Funds raised through Heart of Orange County and Heart and Stroke Ball support the Association’s 2024 Health Equity Impact Goal, which aims to reduce barriers to health care access and quality.
