Hamptons Heart Ball raises funds to fight heart disease and stroke

MELVILLE, N.Y., June 30, 2026 — The American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone everywhere, celebrated the culmination of the 2026 Hamptons Heart Ball campaign June 11 at Oceanbléu in Westhampton Beach.

Chaired by Francesca DeMartino, senior vice president and chief investor relations officer at Pfizer, the year-round initiative raised $325,000 to fight cardiovascular disease, the nation's No. 1 killer. With the ocean as a backdrop, the evening of elegance and connection gathered the local community to recognize shared success in driving change, funding science and improving health outcomes in support of a world of longer, healthier lives.

Throughout the event, the program highlighted mission-driven stories of survival and hope from individuals who have faced significant cardiac events, alongside those doing their part to advance progress in cardiovascular care.

“It was a privilege to lead a campaign with this level of purpose,” DeMartino said. “Our collective success in raising these meaningful funds means we can continue spreading lifesaving information and preventing unnecessary loss from cardiovascular disease, a mission that remains deeply personal to me.”

“We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding leadership of our chair, Francesca DeMartino, whose unwavering dedication set the tone for this year’s success,” said Samantha Macleod, development director for the American Heart Association on Long Island. “We are equally thankful for our legacy chair and Long Island board member, Jennifer Damico, chief accounting officer and controller at Pfizer, whose continued commitment and influence helped propel this campaign forward. Together, their leadership united our community and drove results that will truly save lives.”

The American Heart Association also extends its sincere thanks to signature sponsors Pfizer and Stony Brook Medicine, along with the many local sponsors whose generous support made this work possible.
