CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, March 4 – Guests at the 2024 Corpus Christi Heart Ball we’re “All in for Heart Health” – just as the theme implied – the night of Feb. 24 at the American Bank Center.
Heart Ball development director Amy Snell Canterbury said about 770 people attended, raising nearly $650,000 through sponsorships, live and silent auctions, a bid board, the Open Your Heart portion of the program and funds bought in by the Leaders of Impact: Damala Eytemiz, Volcan Koc, Tyler miller, Ilaria Reyes and Mark Silva. Bill Lathrop Jr. was the featured survivor.
The black-tie-optional affair also entailed an elegant dinner, a cocktail hour and entertainment by Diamond’s Edge. The ball was also a celebration of the American Heart Association’s 100th birthday.
Heart Ball is a culmination of the Heart of Corpus Christi campaign, a year-round fundraising campaign relentlessly focused on engaging community leaders in making a significant impact toward health equity and the mission of the American Heart Association. The funds raised will go toward addressing high blood pressure, CPR edition and the tobacco and youth vaping crisis.
