JACKSON, Miss., December 19, 2024 – The American Heart Association, a global force for healthier lives for all, has announced cardiologist Michael E. Hall, M.D., M.S. to serve on the Southeast Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Dr. Hall is Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Diseases, Patrick K. Lehan Endowed Chair of Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

“Dr. Hall is so well thought of in the Mississippi medical community and beyond, “ said Jennifer Hopping, executive director, American Heart Association Metro Jackson. “We are honored to have him continue to work with the Heart Association.”

“It is an honor to serve on the Southeast regional board,” Hall said. “As a long-time volunteer with the American Heart Association, continuing the mission of the Association has been at the forefront of my ideal goals. It is an exciting time to be part of the Association’s second century. I look forward to reaching all communities within the Southeast.”
