FORT WORTH, Texas, April 22, 2023 — As plans are underway for the 2023 Tarrant County Heart Ball, Stephanie and Michael Klein have been named chairs of this year’s community-wide campaign. The American Heart Association’s Heart of Tarrant County campaign is a year-round effort culminating at the annual Heart Ball. The initiative raises funds to support the American Heart Association’s mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives while supporting priority issues in Tarrant County.
“The Kleins exemplify true leadership and commitment as dedicated community members here in Tarrant County and are the ideal leaders to head our Heart Ball campaign. They understand the impact, the mission, and how our work has an impact on every person who lives in this area. We welcome them to the Heart of Tarrant County, an initiative that centers around better health for every individual by focusing on critical issues and work to equitably improve and save lives,” says Corrie Harris, Executive Director at the American Heart Association in Tarrant County.
“In the fight against heart disease, it is critical we enhance awareness about the importance of knowing Hands-Only CPR and provide our community the education needed to save the lives of both adults and children. With our help, the American Heart Association will deploy CPR-readiness kits throughout communities in Tarrant County. We challenge at least one person in every household in Tarrant County to be ready to save a life with CPR”, said Michael Klein.
Working and living in Tarrant County, Michael and Stephanie Klein are excited to be leading this event. Having worked for his family business for nearly 20 years, Michael is now a self-employed business owner developing D1 Training facilities in DFW and Austin, Texas, while Stephanie is employed with Maven, a locally known interior design firm. The Klein family has been involved with the American Heart Association for many years and is eager to further its support with a partnership that will enhance CPR education and readiness. Stephanie Klein explains, “the Heart of Tarrant County will help fund the education we need in our community. Teaching CPR is not only a life-skill, but also a reminder that our heart is vital to life, and we should care for it accordingly. The Heart Ball has always been a well-attended event and we are looking forward to a fun-filled and rewarding evening.”
The 2023 Tarrant County Heart Ball will be held on April 22, 2023, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel. The annual celebratory event is a night to honor survivors, patrons and volunteers of the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart health. The evening will feature a special story of survival as well as dinner, dancing, and an exciting auction.
