New York City Executive Named Chair-Elect of the American Heart Association’s Eastern States Region Board of Directors
NEW YORK, July 8, 2024 — David Chubak has assumed the role of chair-elect of the board of directors for the Eastern States Region of the American Heart Association (AHA), the world’s leading voluntary health organization dedicated to building longer, healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Chubak will serve as chair-elect through June 30, 2025, at which point he will assume a two-year term as chair of the Eastern States Board of Directors.
David Chubak joined Edward Jones in March 2022 and is currently the head of the firm's U.S. Business Unit and a member of the firm's Enterprise Leadership Team. In his role, Chubak is guiding the firm's ambition to serve more clients more completely through deep personal relationships and comprehensive planning and advice — leading business-building efforts to meet the evolving and unique needs of clients, while delivering greater value for its branch teams to better serve clients and communities across America.
Chubak most recently served as chair of the American Heart Association’s New York City Board of Directors before joining the board of the Eastern States Region.

American Heart Association - Eastern States volunteers and staff serve more than75 million people who live on the eastern seaboard of the United States. The Eastern States region includes 13 states and Washington, D.C., and five of the top 25 metropolitan areas in the U.S. In support of the AHA’s mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives, the Eastern States Region raises funds to transform the health and well-being of local communities by providing science-based information, health resources, community programs and patient support. As the second-largest funder of cardiovascular research next to the federal government, the AHA is also a driver of change through its advocacy efforts, public and professional education and community services like CPR training and programming.
In his role as chair-elect, Chubak will work alongside chair Sandy Volpe and other volunteer leaders to advance critical mission and fundraising priorities for the AHA. Areas of focus will build on existing efforts around removing barriers to health care access and quality, addressing issues of nutrition and food security, hypertension reduction and more.

Chubak earned a bachelor's degree with honors from Columbia University and a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2006. He lives in New York City with his wife, Jamie, and four children. He serves his community as a board member at City Harvest and in his free time, he enjoys running, tennis and flying as a private pilot.
