DALLAS, September 13, 2023 – Renowned Grammy Award-winning Josh Abbott Band is coming back to North Texas. The final countdown is officially on for this year’s Heart Fest, a Texas-themed concert and mission celebration, held at Legacy Food Hall in Plano. For the evening of November 4, the American Heart Association’s event will honor survivors, unite local community members, and bring together business leaders with a goal to raise critical funds that will support education and prevention resources, aiming to eliminate premature death from cardiovascular disease and stroke in the community.

Concertgoers will have 20 locally curated artisanal vendors for treats and eats options after dancing up an appetite. The family friendly night brings exciting auctions and captivating entertainment each year. Taking the stage before the Texas Country favorite Josh Abbott Band will be country music singer-songwriter Chancey Williams.

This year’s Heart of Collin County – Heart Fest campaign is  led by Eleanor “Ellie” Huff MSN, RN of Baylor Scott & White. Huff has engaged local companies through sponsorship, emphasizing their support goes beyond the event itself. She continues to champion the opportunity for supporters to make a tangible impact by offering CPR education resources and AEDs to schools in Collin County and invites companies to actively participate in the delivery of these resources, showcasing their impact in support of the Association’s 2024 Health Equity Impact Goal by reducing barriers to health care access and quality.
