MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., August 27, 2026 — The American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone, everywhere, is celebrating a major milestone as it prepares for its 45th Annual Beach Ride, set for November 4-8, at Lakewood Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach.

For 45 years, this unique five-day equestrian event has brought together riders and horses from across the country to camp, ride, and raise critical funds and awareness in the fight against the No. 1 and No. 4 killers of Americans, heart disease and stroke. What began as a local fundraising effort has grown into one of the equine world’s most beloved events, uniting generations of participants around a shared mission to save and improve lives.

Participants will enjoy a full slate of activities throughout the event, including a silent auction, live music, costume parade, campsite decorating contest, group walk, obstacle course challenges, karaoke, and more. The celebration culminates with an unforgettable 20-mile beach ride along Myrtle Beach.

Attendees can also learn Hands-Only CPR during the event. More than 350,000 people in the U.S. experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital each year, according to research from the American Heart Association. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival.

Funds raised during the Beach Ride support the American Heart Association’s mission by funding groundbreaking research, educating communities, and advocating for healthier lives. With participants’ support, we’re working toward a world where fewer families are impacted by heart disease and stroke.

“Reaching our 45th year is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the dedication of our riders, volunteers, sponsors and the Myrtle Beach community,” said Lindsay Pampani, Beach Ride development director, American Heart Association - Charleston. “Their passion and commitment have helped us make a lasting impact in the fight against heart disease and stroke. As we celebrate this milestone, we invite everyone to join us in continuing this important tradition.”
