Louisville, KY, Jan. 29, 2025 — The American Heart Association proudly announces Greg Sciuto as the new Executive Director of the Kentuckiana region. With a proven track record in nonprofit leadership and a deep commitment to advancing cardiovascular health, Sciuto will oversee local initiatives aimed at reducing the impact of heart disease and stroke—the top causes of death nationwide.
Sciuto’s leadership will play a vital role in driving the organization’s mission forward. Working closely with his team, he aims to strengthen local partnerships, elevate community health initiatives and support a full calendar of American Heart Association events in the Kentuckiana area.
"Heart disease and stroke touch so many lives; included among those are many friends and family members,” said Sciuto. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to lead the fantastic team here in Kentuckiana in our relentless pursuit of longer, healthier lives."
Sciuto joins the American Heart Association with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. He officially stepped into his role mid-January and has already hit the ground running alongside his hardworking team.
“Greg has a proven track record of being a strong leader in the community, and we feel lucky to have him leading us into our second century,” said Rachaell Scott, senior development director, American Heart Association, Kentuckiana. "He is mission-focused, team-oriented and we are confident that he will help us grow our impact across Kentuckiana.”
