VALHALLA, N.Y., Sept. 24, 2026 — The American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone everywhere, has made the difficult decision not to move forward with the 2026 Westchester Heart Walk as scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 26, due to the incoming nor'easter.
The decision follows ongoing and careful monitoring of weather forecasts and reflects the organization's commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of participants, volunteers, sponsors and staff.
Although this weekend's Heart Walk will not take place as planned, the impact of the campaign continues. The Heart Association is working on a future experience to celebrate the lives impacted, funds raised and collective progress made in the fight against heart disease and stroke. Additional details will be shared once plans are finalized.
