DAYTON, OH Sept. 14, 2022 — Seven new board members are joining the American Heart Association (AHA) Dayton Board. These new members come from a variety of backgrounds and are thrilled to support the work of the AHA in Dayton.

Marquita Turner - Marquita chaired the Go Red for Women campaign in June 2022. She had the most successful Go Red event fiscally and has wanted to stay committed to the AHA’s mission. Marquita is a Chief Operating Officer of Premier Health Miami Valley South.

Tonya Casey – Tonya is an up-and-coming leader within Premier Health. She currently serves as the Finance Director for Miami Valley Hospital. Tonya was matched with the AHA through the Dayton Chamber.

Captain Sarah Marshall – Captain Marshall has worked with the AHA’s goal of teaching CPR through the STEMM Goes Red even where she lead middle school girls through CPR Training. She also served as a STEMM speed mentor during the event. She is a captain of the City of Dayton Fire Department.

Jessica Jones – Jessica is this year’s co-chair for the 2022 Greater Dayton Heart Walk and is committed to the AHA’s mission. She serves as the CEO and President of Universal 1 Credit Union

John Theobald – John has been a part of the AHA’s largest campaign – the Heart Walk Leadership Team. He is the Senior Vice Present and Chief Lending Officer for Day-Air Credit Union

Beth Blank – Beth has a personal interest in women’s health and works as the Director of Women’s and Cardiovascular Service Line for Premier Health. She’s been instrumental in the Field Day activities at Premier Atrium.

Alina Joseph - Alina is co-chairing this year's 2022 Greater Dayton Heart Walk. She's the Executive Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute at Kettering Health

The Dayton Board of Directors is excited to welcome these new members as the AHA prepares for another year of big impact in Dayton.
