DALLAS, June 24, 2026 — Malcolm Farmer and Carey Blair Farmer have been named co-chairs of the American Heart Association’s 2026 Collin County Heart Ball, leading efforts to improve heart health and save lives across North Texas.
The Farmers will guide fundraising and community engagement efforts supporting the American Heart Association’s mission to fight heart disease and stroke. Heart disease and stroke remain the leading causes of death in Texas, making community-driven efforts like the Collin County Heart Ball critical to improving and saving lives locally.
Widely respected for their leadership and community involvement across North Texas, the Farmers will help bring together business and civic leaders to advance the campaign’s impact.
The campaign will culminate at the 2026 Collin County Heart Ball on November 5, bringing together community and business leaders in support of lifesaving work.
For the Farmer family, the mission is deeply personal.
“As a family, the mission of the American Heart Association is deeply personal to us,” said Malcolm Farmer, president and general manager of the Texas Legends. “We have seen firsthand the impact of heart disease and stroke, and we know many others in our community share a similar story.”
“We are honored to serve as chairs and invite the community to join us,” said Carey Blair Farmer, a successful Private Wealth Advisor and Consultant. “More than a gala, this event brings together leaders committed to building longer, healthier lives and changing the game for the health of North Texas. Community support makes this work possible and drives lasting impact.”
“Malcolm and Carey Blair Farmer bring passion and leadership to this year’s campaign,” said Jill Griffiths, Senior Vice President of Development and Community Health for the American Heart Association in North Texas. “Their commitment to improving heart health will help unite our community and drive meaningful progress for families across Collin County.”
Taking place on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Comerica Center in Frisco, the Collin County Heart Ball is an inspiring evening featuring powerful survivor stories, exceptional dining and engaging experiences. Funds raised support critical efforts across North Texas, including CPR education, nutrition access, expanded access to care, and groundbreaking cardiovascular research. The evening will conclude with live entertainment from the Emerald City Band.
