DALLAS, Sept 19, 2024 - Saturday, September 21st, the Dallas Heart Walk and the Fort Worth Heart Walk offer a fantastic opportunity to stay active while connecting with friends, family, and the community. Participants can select either the non-competitive three-mile or one-mile route. Festivities kick off in Dallas at the base of Reunion Tower and in Tarrant County at the Shops at Clearfork at 7:30 AM, and the walk begins at 9:00 AM. Walkers of all ages are welcome to join in the fun, and there is even a dedicated area for furry four-legged walkers.
Organized by the Dallas-based organization, the American Heart Association has been a leading source of health information for a century and its relentless effort has led to significant medical advancements. Heart Walks across the United States help serve a vital purpose: to combat heart disease and stroke. This year, the Heart Walk Nation of Lifesavers™ campaign also aims to create a community of lifesavers through Hands-Only CPR training and awareness. By joining the Heart Walk, participants are not only supporting heart health but also becoming part of a movement to save lives. Walkers contribute to research, participate in Hands-Only CPR training, and learn about local equitable health initiatives, ultimately saving lives and promoting longer, healthier well-being.
The annual family-friendly events in North Texas are perfect for those looking to learn more about the American Heart Association or just enjoy the walk and fun activities.
