Omaha, Neb., March 13, 2023 — Levi J. Scheppers, Chief Executive Officer of OrthoNebraska has stepped into the role of Executives with Heart Chairperson for the 2023 Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk with the American Heart Nebraska. In this role, Scheppers is recruiting Greater Omaha leaders for their support of longer, healthier lives for all Nebraskans through their commitment to “Executives with Heart” and support of the Heart Walk, the Association’s premier event to boost physical and mental health through healthy habits while supporting the lifesaving mission.

Scheppers will issue his challenge to more than 20 business leaders in the Greater Omaha community, asking them to make a personal commitment to donate or raise $5,000 for the Heart Walk. The executives who accept the challenge and will be highlighted at this year’s Heart Walk on May 20.

On Saturday, May 20 at 9 a.m., Greater Omaha area Heart Walk participants and teams are invited to Miller’s Landing Park to celebrate heart and stroke survivors, raise lifesaving funds and encourage physical activity. This year’s theme, Why I Walk, invites participants to walk on the event path or to create a path of their own. From parks and parkways to tucked away trails, participants are invited to Heart Walk at any location that inspires their heart health.

From there, participants can stay up to date by downloading the Heart Walk mobile app and encourage friends and family to join in via e-mail or on social media. Those walking on Heart Walk on a path of their own, can follow the festivities through the event hashtag, #OmahaHeartWalk.
