IRVINE, California, May 7, 2024  — Dori Daganhardt, Sr. Leader, Product Management at CoreLogic has been named the American Heart Association Orange County 2024 Woman of Impact. Daganhardt earned the title for her transformational fundraising efforts and work to improve health outcomes in Orange County. The Woman of Impact initiative supports the American Heart Association’s mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives for all, with Woman of Impact having a special focus on women’s health through the Association’s Go Red for Women movement.

“We are so grateful to Dori and all of our nominees for their work raising awareness and critical funds in support of our local mission,” said American Heart Association Orange County and Inland Empire Board President, Pranav M. Patel, M.D., Chief, Division of Cardiology, UC Irvine. “While our work is far from finished, we’ve made considerable progress. Our city is stronger, and our future is brighter.”

Over the course of nine weeks, Daganhardt alongside her peers, competed for the Woman of Impact title by raising funds and partaking in women’s health education and awareness activities to support the Go Red for Women movement, a comprehensive platform designed more than two decades ago to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally.

After raising more than $189,000 and driving health initiatives including a community CPR training event and other mission activities, Daganhardt was named this year’s winner and was the top fundraiser in the state. As the Association celebrates its 100th birthday in 2024, efforts driven by individuals like Daganhardt are crucial to saving lives and advancing health and hope for everyone.

“Being a part of the Woman of Impact campaign was personal for me because my mother suffered from heart disease and I attribute the work of the American Heart Association to her still being with us,” said Daganhardt. “I am honored to have received this award, but most importantly, I am so proud of what the team accomplished together over the last nine weeks to support the Go Red for Women movement and the future of women’s heart health.”

The Woman of Impact initiative launched in over 100 cities on National Wear Red Day, Feb. 2. In Orange County, 3 community leaders were nominated to participate. Other local Woman of Impact nominees included:

  • Maria Serna, Team Home Healthcare
  • Nicole Doan, Alpha Phi, UCI

While cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer in the U.S., many instances of cardiac events can be prevented through a healthy lifestyle. Those involved in Woman of Impact are paving the way for the future of heart health and enabling more people to live longer and healthier.

About Go Red for Women®

The American Heart Association’s signature initiative, Go Red for Women®, is a comprehensive platform designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally. While the majority of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women, claiming the lives of 1 in 3 women. For more than two decades, Go Red for Women has encouraged awareness. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power of women to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them tools they need to lead a heart healthy life. The Go Red for Women movement is nationally sponsored by CVS Health, with additional support from national cause supporters.
