Michelle Davis with Sullivan Law will serve as the executive volunteer chair of the 2024-2025 Tarrant County Hats for Heart initiative, part of the Go Red for Women® movement. Go Red for Women is a comprehensive platform designed more than two decades ago to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve women’s lives globally. As the American Heart Association celebrates its 100th birthday, Davis will play a critical role in the Association's local Go Red for Women efforts by leading Northeast Tarrant County’s Hats for Heart luncheon and fashion show, an event that celebrates the impact of the movement and spreads lifesaving resources to the community.
Davis serves as SVP and Business Development Representative for Sullivan Law & Title in Southlake, Texas. Deeply rooted in her community, she is a founding sponsor and supporter of Hats for Heart.
“When this annual event began over two years ago, I had a clear calling to attend and spread the word. This year, I had an even clearer and bigger calling not just to step up, but step in with both feet, knowing, that at any time, I could be the one or have someone very close to me be the one that not only is affected, but survives because of the awareness that is being spread,” said Davis. “When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, I learned that I was at a greater risk for heart disease, and this mission became even more personal to me.”
According to the American Heart Association, a global force for healthier lives for all, cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death in women, claiming more lives than all cancers combined. Nearly 45% of women over age 20 are living with some form of CVD. Heart disease and stroke continue to be Tarrant County’s women’s greatest health threat.
Hats for Heart aims to bring immense impact to the local community. In the past year, the American Heart Association has made significant strides in community health education and support thanks to this amazing community. Through initiatives in Northeast Tarrant County, 620 students and families learned the dangers of smoking and vaping, empowering them to make healthier choices. Additionally, 641 families gained life-saving skills by learning Hands-Only CPR. The American Heart Association’s partnership with GRACE Community Clinic in Grapevine, TX, has been particularly impactful, serving 608 patients through ambulatory programs and reaching 7,000 individuals with the help of our SNAP navigator. Moreover, 2,505 students enthusiastically participated in the Kids Heart Challenge, fostering a new generation of heart-healthy habits. These efforts collectively contribute to our mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Go Red for Women is global with impact across the United States and in more than 50 countries around the world. This year’s Go Red for Women movement and its local achievements will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Bowden Events and Weddings in Keller, TX.

About Go Red for Women®
The American Heart Association’s signature initiative, Go Red for Women®, is a comprehensive platform designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally. While the majority of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women, claiming the lives of 1 in 3 women. For more than two decades, Go Red for Women has encouraged awareness. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power of women to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them tools they need to lead a heart healthy life. The Go Red for Women movement is nationally sponsored by CVS Health, with additional support from national cause supporters.
